Apple pie is the pie of pies, the yardstick by which all pies are measured. And we don't fool around with it.
The apples, a special blend of locally grown varieties, come only from our own trees or those of two other local family growers. We process them carefully, and spice them even more carefully.
As is the case with all our pies, we use our own pastry, with lots of butter. Into the delicious, flaky, buttery crust go the apples, with more crust on top, and when they're finished baking and filling the air with their warm heavenly scent, we wind up with 4 lbs. of golden delicious pie.
