Welcome to the home of the Mapleville Farm CSA! CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture and it is a food system that allows the consumer to invest directly into a local producer. It works like a subscription where the consumer pays an upfront fee and receives a box of fresh vegetables every week for the growing season. This farmer/consumer relationship removes the middleman and provides the farmer with the capital they need at the time of year when, traditionally, income from vegetable production is scarce. The consumer adopts the risks and rewards of growing food alongside their farmer, with the rewards being a plentiful harvest of the freshest, quality produce for their meals each week and the direct involvement in the livelihood of a local business.
